According to latest statistics, the number of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the number of women aged 100 or over almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to hear from centenarians, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and shifts.
